Ok, all joking aside, I thought I would make a (kind-of) comparison between Madoff and Woods. Bernie is a downright dirty, rotten scoundrel who robbed innocent people of their life savings. Tiger on the other hand let his people down by posing as a squeaky clean role model for their products. Is there a difference between the two? In some ways no. Bernie took the money and ran with it, living an extravagant lifestyle. Hmm, so did Tiger. Should Tiger go to jail? Should his sponsors sue him? Bernie left his clients penniless and broken. Tiger left his backers broken and their products blemished by his unfaithfulness. Tiger chose to be a BRAND. A brand that he didn't live up to. He chose to represent companies that believed in him and let them down. So, is there really a big difference betweet Tiger and Bernie? I don't think so.
